Quiz, test and assignments
Questions only on what you've already covered, never repeated, with a mistake book you correct in your own words.
yat:grillQuiz, test and assignments
yat:grill checks what you've learned in an env. It only runs when you ask for it.
What you say
| You say | Mode |
|---|---|
quiz me / pop quiz | Quiz: five to eight mixed questions, feedback after each |
test me / test time | Test: twelve to twenty questions in sections, no feedback until every answer is in |
give me an assignment | Assignment: one take-home task with acceptance criteria |
grade my assignment | Grades it against those criteria only |
review what's due / show my mistakes | Open mistakes first, then reviews that are due |
Add a scope or size inline: "quiz me on chapter two only", "3-question quiz".
What it asks about
Only material up to your bookmark, never ahead of it. Recent sessions weigh most, older material is mixed in, and anything you missed or marked fuzzy is weighted up. It reads its own history first, so a question is never repeated, verbatim or reskinned.
Grading
- A plain fraction and percent plus a list of weak spots. No letter grades, no pass or fail.
- Before feedback you say how sure you were: sure, unsure or a guess.
- The debrief is the point. Each miss gets walked until it clicks.
- For each miss you write one correction line in your own words. The tutor may sharpen it with questions; it never drafts it.
- Work is graded by reading, never by running it.
